Jane Osgood was the assistant director of MATTS for several years. She retired from this role in May 2023 but continues to be a frequent visiting teacher.

Biography
Jane has been a Teaching Member of STAT since 1994. She trained with Don Burton in Fellside and then completed a postgraduate term and visits thereafter to The Constructive Teaching Centre with Walter and Dilys Carrington.
Other Qualifications
BSc Sociology and Politics, CQSW, Dip. CSW, Dip. Group Work in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Qualifications relevant to teaching in FE colleges and teaching multi-disciplinary teams.

Significant CPD Experience
Since qualifying I have continued to work on my own professional development by attending workshops and courses for teachers on a regular basis.
I learned a great deal from attending MATTS where several of my pupils trained to become teachers.
I have run courses for Manchester teachers on working with groups within organisations, an area in which I have much experience.

Teaching Experience:
Teaching Adults in FE colleges since 1976. Teaching Social Workers and Police.
Teaching in a busy Alexander Technique private practice since 1994.
Teaching a variety of AT groups in adult education and other venues from 1994 to the present.
Teaching the AT in companies 1997 – 2009
Working regularly with a large group of AT teachers in Manchester, including teaching postgraduate hands-on skills, 2018 onwards
