The Manchester Alexander Technique
Training School Est. 2001
Intensive Study
Flexible periods of concentrated study
MATTS welcomes visitors who wish to undertake a more concentrated period of study over several days, weeks or months.

Some visitors attend as part of a period of personal study or professional development, or in order to work intensively on longstanding problems connected with pain, movement or performance. Others use intensive visits as a way of experiencing the school more fully before deciding whether to begin teacher training.

Because the school operates as an open and collaborative environment, visitors undertaking intensive study participate alongside trainee teachers as part of the ordinary life of the school.

The structure and duration of intensive study are completely flexible and can be adapted to individual circumstances.
International students
We regularly welcome visitors from outside the UK, including musicians, other performers, Alexander Technique teachers and trainees from other courses.

Some qualified teachers also attend for a period of postgraduate study or continuing professional development.
We are usually able to help visitors with practical matters such as accommodation and introductions to the local area.
